A day tour of the Cotswolds - Castle Combe, Bibury, Upper Slaughter, Stow-on-the-Wold and Tetbury - picturesque villages which still retain their 18th-19th century look. I love the flowers on and around the cottages, and the Cotswold oolitic limestone walls of houses, which absorb sunlight and become honey gold.

Castle Combe, 12 miles from Bath, has been voted the "prettiest village in England" many times. It was an active weaving center and marketplace for centuries.
